CSO Architects was retained by Illinois Wesleyan University to study preliminary design options for the expansion of the School of Art. The proposed building expansion significantly updated and expanded the University’s existing art studios, gallery spaces and art faculty offices by wrapping new spaces around the renovated existing structure. The new building’s exterior design endeavors to sensitively respect the established, predominant architectural style of campus, while also asserting itself as a unique building and a beacon of artistic expression.
