Since its grand opening, the 600 seat Sursa Performance Hall has been honored with rave reviews from musicians worldwide. This space is a careful balance of acoustic and aesthetic excellence. The Performance Hall may be tuned by the use of automated curtains and large absorptive panels. Anchoring the eastern end of the building is the Music Engineering Technology program. A state of the art suite of studios, digital audio workstations and support spaces are fully interconnected with a digital backbone that allows unprecedented flexibility in the recording of student projects and guest artists from any performance space in the facility. The finished building is literally a “Swiss Army Knife” of possibilities for teaching, recording, performing and creating music.
