“The Ross Enterprise Center was the most challenging re-use project ever at the Purdue Research Park. As a large vacant warehouse, situated amongst high-tech businesses, the facility was no longer appropriate and had become an eyesore. The creativity and imagination of CSO Architects enabled us to transform what was a liability into a striking, modern facility. It now reflects the high-tech businesses that are utilizing what was once a warehouse for class “A” offices, wet lab research facilities, conference space and meeting space. We are very proud of the Ross Enterprise Center and it is now a hotbed of high-tech activity in the Purdue Research Park.“

This project was all about collaboration, teamwork and design coordination. The Ross Enterprise Center shows that a fast track, design build process does not always preclude good design, but in fact demands it. On this project the Design-Builder was contracted to take an abandoned appliance manufacturing facility and design and construct Class “A” office space in the span of a mere 4 months. Further complicating matters, an existing structure was to be renovated which had specific field conditions that were unchangeable. Considerations about construction materials, lead times, phasing, logistics and cost were all carefully factored into every design decision. Go to Masterplan.
