The priority for the Stonybrook Middle School project was the addition of quality teaching space. A classroom addition at the northeast portion of the building was designed to maintain the natural building circulation while maximizing flexibility in organization and scheduling. There are 22 additional classrooms, 2 computer labs, several small group/conference areas in the new classroom addition. The cafeteria has been expanded aligning with the existing columns and consuming the existing corridor. The exterior is designed to reinforce the existing building’s architecture.
