When Woodworth Commons reopened in August 2007 after a $5  million renovation, students and staff alike were stunned to see the early-’80s dining hall completely transformed into a modern day food emporium.  Only two years earlier, university staff had called CSO after determining it was time to modernize the aging dining hall.  Beginning with focus groups, in consultation with Ricca Newmark Design, CSO embarked on the two-year project to upgrade Woodworth Commons and give it a bit of flair, including “display cooking,” a wood-fired oven and two-story atrium.  Conference rooms, a fitness room and informal study/conversation areas helped to cap off the stunning 550-seat facility.
