Butler University’s Lacy School of Business Construction Update

CSO, in collaboration with Goody Clancy, worked closely with Butler University’s Lacy School of Business to design a building that reflects the Lacy School’s intently experiential approach to learning. The university’s goal was to create a space where the business community and the school of business could interact and collaborate together.

The entire building was designed to promote collaboration and interaction through the use of a central, multi-story atrium. Instead of a traditional lobby, the first level contains collaborative workspaces and strategy rooms where local professionals will be invited to teach workplace-style classes. An Innovation Commons encourages networking among students, faculty, and business professionals. The building will also include destination areas, including formal classrooms and offices are located on the upper levels.

The new 110,000 square foot building is set to open in the fall of 2019.
