CSO Architects and Garmong Construction provided design-build services for this $1.8 million renovation of an existing 30,000 square foot building. The project was phased to keep the building fully operational at all times during construction. After occupying a building that was originally built for a previous tenant, Rose-Hulman Ventures recognized the need for a space that not only more efficiently suited their space requirements, but also reinforced their position as a high-tech, highly collaborative, hands-on learning environment. The building renovation included all of the mechanical labs, electrical labs, chemical labs, and fabrication areas along with the creation of an interactive software lab, new administrative office and reception area, and a fully operational machine shop. Additionally, an existing break room was converted into a state-of-the-art multi-purpose tiered presentation space for 80 people.
