Woodworth Commons

Conceived as part of the eastern quadrant residential master plan, Woodworth Commons includes an extensive renovation of an existing dining complex to meet the expanded needs of the nearby residential community.

When the facility reopened, students and staff alike were stunned to see the early-’80s dining hall completely transformed into a modern day food emporium. Beginning with focus groups, in consultation with Ricca Newmark Design, CSO embarked on the two-year project to upgrade Woodworth Commons and give it a bit of flair, including “display cooking,” a wood-fired oven and two-story atrium. Conference rooms, a fitness room and informal study/conversation areas helped to cap off the stunning 550-seat facility.
