Designed to provide a home for the Purdue University Honors College, the new facility will be a true living-learning residential community serving to facilitate and expand the mission and vision of the Honors College. This residential community will allow students to not only live in a community surrounded by their Honors College peers, but also interact on a daily basis with the Honors College faculty and have access to unique amenities purposefully designed to contribute to their success.
The building consists of approximately 800 beds in a unique pod-style living unit incorporating double and triple occupancy rooms with a shared bath and shared community area. The residential components to the facility are rounded out with a community living room, study spaces, a recreation room, music practice rooms, laundry rooms and other support spaces. The Honors College component of the facility includes approximately 40,000 s.f. to accommodate faculty and staff offices, classrooms, innovation space, study spaces and a Great Hall.
