First Flag Raising Marks Milestone at New ILEA Entrance
Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) Tier II Class 2026-38 raised the American and state flags on the academy’s new entrance sign for the first time. This inaugural moment celebrates the tradition, discipline, and unity that begin each training day on campus.
The academy recently completed improvements designed by CSO, including a new 200-room dormitory, a new emergency vehicle operations course, new classrooms and offices, a scenario-based training curriculum and scenario village, and a new maintenance building. CSO is honored to have partnered with ILEA on this transformative project, which is intended to enhance scenario-based training that replicates real-world situations for officers in training. ILEA serves 65% of Indiana police and law enforcement personnel and trains approximately 600 students annually. The enhanced academy is anticipated to be among the top law enforcement training facilities in the country.
ILEA Executive Director Timothy M. Horty noted: “Overcast skies and light rain were no match for Class 38, who showed their commitment to training and patriotism with their actions today. Congratulations!”
