While we’re marking the topping out of the structure as a milestone, we’re actually celebrating what went into getting here—the local businesses, the construction crews, and the people who brought their expertise to this project. “

Mario Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority

With the structure complete, work now shifts to enclosure and interior build-out, bringing the 253-room hotel—featuring meeting space, dining, and direct terminal access—closer to its late 2027 opening.

Designed as a seamless extension of the airport campus, the hotel will serve as a new front door to Indianapolis, enhancing convenience for travelers while strengthening the region’s economic and civic infrastructure.

A New Safety and Transit Hub Begins at Butler University.

Envisioned as more than a single facility, the Hub is designed to support how people arrive at, move through, and connect with Butler and the surrounding Midtown neighborhoods. The project brings together transit functions, safety operations, and sustainable infrastructure to create a welcoming gateway that works at both a campus and city scale.

As Butler’s design partner, CSO is proud to continue a trusted, long‑term relationship with the University, helping translate institutional goals into built environments that reflect Butler’s values and future aspirations. The Safety and Transit Hub advances Butler’s broader Gateway Project, reinforcing connections between campus and community while supporting daily campus life through thoughtful, integrated design.

Construction is now underway, and CSO looks forward to seeing this next chapter take shape alongside our partners at Butler.
