Indianapolis Airport Hotel Tops Out, Advancing Toward 2027 Opening

Project partners celebrated the project’s topping-out ceremony on May 14, marking the placement of the highest structural beam and completion of the building’s frame.

Led by the Indianapolis Airport Authority, Shiel Sexton, CSO, and project collaborators, the moment reflects the collective effort of more than 100 Indiana companies contributing to the development.

While we’re marking the topping out of the structure as a milestone, we’re actually celebrating what went into getting here—the local businesses, the construction crews, and the people who brought their expertise to this project. “

Mario Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority

With the structure complete, work now shifts to enclosure and interior build-out, bringing the 253-room hotel—featuring meeting space, dining, and direct terminal access—closer to its late 2027 opening.

Designed as a seamless extension of the airport campus, the hotel will serve as a new front door to Indianapolis, enhancing convenience for travelers while strengthening the region’s economic and civic infrastructure.
